Purpose: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for driving all facets of recruitment success throughout the organization. The Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring that the most qualified talent is sought and hired. The Recruiter will develop recruiting plans, effective sourcing strategies and creative recruiting tactics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine open positions by meeting with managers to discuss recruitment needs.
  • Determine requirements by understanding job descriptions and job qualifications.
  • Attract applicants by placing job advertisements via online sites, internal job postings, college career centers, newspaper advertisements, contact professional organizations and other effective and appropriate venues.
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions. Track turnaround time between open and close of positions.
  • Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers, interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
  • Arrange management interviews, coordinate schedules.
  • Adhere to current legal guidelines for conducting interviews.
  • Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment, using social/professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
  • Attend and schedule community job fairs as needed.
  • Monitor organization attractiveness to candidates based on the response to job offers and company benefits.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or at least 3 years' experience recruiting both nonexempt and exempt staff
  • Knowledge of the legal aspects of hiring and interviewing according to State and Federal guidelines
  • Strong Customer Service experience
  • Computer literate in current version of Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Health care experience preferred
